Children’s Ministry: Joseph & Esther Chung, Meredith Lopez, Subin Hwoowah, Caroline & Jaedin & Sarah Rajoo, Carol Kichard
Shalom!
God has been faithful to the kids' ministry during the time of covid. We have been blessed to work with the kids, teaching them of God's word and His ways each week. Most of the kids are eager to learn and participate. The kids have a lot more joy and energy than adults in general, and we have been able to receive their joy and energy each week by working with them.
Attendance has been up and down during the pandemic. But there has been a core number of about 10 kids that has been coming almost every week since we opened up the church in the summer of 2021. In the last couple of months, there has been an increase in attendance of kids on Sunday mornings, and there are about 20-25 kids each week.
These days, we have been starting off with a few kids praying out loud and everyone repeating what they say. And then we sing a song. Then we watch about 10 minutes (or one chapter) of the book of Matthew movie which is an exact word for word of the Bible (NLT) see below link. Then we ask questions about what we watched. After that, we split up into smaller group classes.

We have three classes: preschool (age 3-4), younger kids class (age 5-7), and older kids class (age 8-12). In the preschool class, the kids read a short Bible story and do coloring and toys. The younger kids' class, mostly led by Esther, teaches the kids about major Bible characters and stories and Jesus' teachings and do crafts and puzzles. The older kids class is led by Joseph where they have a more in depth discussion of the Bible and life questions.
We have been blessed with a number of volunteers below. There are a couple more people who will join us after they take the membership class in June.

Worship Ministry: Nestor & Teng Mangonon
Dear Pastors Giulio & Lina; WCC Ministry Leaders and Westwood Community Church Members.
We are all called to worship, respond and engage with our Almighty God as He continues to reveal His plans and revelations to us in these end times.
The past two years have shown new challenges for our Worship Community like virtual worship leading, social distancing; limited team members and no congregation worship service to follow stipulated mandates. This unusual situation taught us to convey and build-on through worship the message of God in our lives.
The work of God cannot be stopped as we see greater hunger in the Body of Christ to find ways and connect. We were challenged but we are moving forward as our worship find deeper connection. We are even extending our work to support Westwood Surrey Campus.
We thank God for all the worship team members who remained supportive, new volunteers who acknowledge the need for more dedicated participation and emerging Worship Leaders who are showing great promise and hope for the future of the Worship Community and for the church. We know we will continue to have an Open Heaven in our worship gatherings.
Special thanks to our son and daughter Lemuel and Aviela for their partnership and obedience making our assignment of lesser burden and of greater joy.
For His purpose,
Nestor & Teng Mangonon

Young-at-Heart (55+) Ministry: Mary Boldlt
For the ministry of 55+ due to Covid there has nothing been held, in saying this though, now there will be the first 55+ event taking place in the Fellowship Hall on June 4th at 6:00PM. This will be a potluck dinner plus some entertainment.
Multimedia Ministry: Gina Canlas
We in the Media Ministry are so blessed in working together with the Video, Sounds, Worship Ministries and the whole WCC Family. We are so grateful to God for the support, encouragement, patience and trust you have given us.
Right now, we have two committed volunteers helping in this ministry: Sheena Chan and Alex Matthew which they can navigate and do it on their own. Praise the Lord🙌
We also have some part timers depending on their availability and still on training:
Ehsan Yari, Kari Lois Canlas, Aviela Mangonon and Jiyeon Lee(on leave).
Every Sunday and other events with the grace of God we were able to manage and meet expectations as needed. We are flexible and able to adapt to sudden change.
We have a volunteers with a servant heart and are willing to use their God’s giftings and time in obedience to the call. And we are praying and expecting for more volunteers to join.
God is good and faithful, even during the Covid season, He protected and shielded us.”
Thank you and Blessings!

W.O.R.D. Ministry & Intercessory Prayer Report 2020-2022
The women’s ministry has been very active in the past 2 years. We had the
privilege of hosting a women’s conference and conducting various bible studies
during the pandemic as listed below.
2020 Women’s Conference
W.O.R.D. ‘Come up Higher’ was a one day conference in Oct 2020.
We had two services, morning & afternoon to accommodate more ladies.
Patricia Bootsma, pastor of the TACF, Toronto was our special speaker as she
joined us online. God moved powerfully and prophetically by His Spirit during
this conference.
On-line Women’s Bible Studies-2020-2022
1. The ‘Elijah’ study-April-Oct 2020
2. ‘The Shelter Of Gods Promises’ study, March-May 2021
3. ‘Jesus Calling’ devotional & prayer, Oct-Dec, 2021.
4. Study on the book of Ephesians, March-June, 2022
Mother’s Day, 2022
The W.O.R.D team organized our Mother’s Day fellowship/refreshments after the
Sunday service. Personal mothers day cards were prepared by the women’s
team for all the moms. Baked goods were also prepared by the youth adult
leaders. We had a wonderful time of fellowship encouraging one another,
connecting with new comers, and forging new friendships.
I am so grateful to God for our Amazing Word leadership team who have served
the women of our church so faithfully. A special thank you to Dawn Wong, Barb
Burns, Mary Boldt, Cristina Odagiiu, Gina Canlas and Jancy Matthews for their
servant leadership. I would also like to thank Sandra Crawford and Jackie Ryan
for their faithfulness to serve this ministry through the pandemic.
We would also like to thank the youth leaders who baked goodies and helped
serve on our Mother’s Day fellowship.
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Thursday Morning Intercessory Prayer has continued on Zoom every Thursday
morning. Sunday Morning Altar Ministry and Pre-Service prayer, have all
continued during our in-service gatherings in the past 2 years. We give Glory to
God for the fire on the altar of prayer that continues to burn and for every
intercessor that has engaged in prayer faithfully throughout these past two
years. Thank you for your faithfulness to the ministry of prayer and intercession
during these past 2 years.
The Prayer Network
A special thank you also to Dawn Wong and Clement Chan for their faithfulness
to lead this vitally important ministry as they communicate the many prayer
requests to the Intercessors. The prayer network has successfully continued
throughout the pandemic. We give Glory to God for the many answers to prayer.
