Luis & Adeline Oh-Verlarde
Bio:
Adeline Oh has been one of our supporting missionaries for several years. She was initially serving in Peru working with street youth and street children, but now - along with her husband - have moved to the Dominican Republic to work alongside a church and to help start a 24 hour prayer house. They have a heart for prayer, hurting young people and for the lost. They are really excited about this next chapter of life and ministry in the DR.
Here is a recent update from Adeline:
"After much prayer and with clear confirmation, we have a peace that the Lord is calling us to start a church. The area that keeps getting highlighted to us is Puerto Plata (POP), the 3rd largest city in the DR. The Lord has been giving us different and creative ways of reaching out to people to build relationships. We have been going to the public state run hospital every week to pray for and minister to the patients and discipling those who choose to follow the Lord; prayer walking; and playing chess with locals at the parks. Luis will also start going to the POP police station to pray and share devotionals with the police in the mornings. The purpose for all that we are doing is to eventually raise up people of faith and start a church that is missional and creative in its nature to produce leaders of the Word of God who will gain more disciples."

Bio:
(L)incoln & (S)ubin have been ministering in Burma for the last 3 years. They travel around the country distributing Christian literature including Bibles, books and children's teaching lessons. Burma is currently a "closed" country to the gospel, so Lincoln and Subin ask that you continue to pray that the gospel will transform lives in that nation.
“God has placed a deep burden in our hearts for the people of Myanmar. We go because these people need to come to know God. This country has many tribes, and now they have their own state, but they suffer and have war with the government. The people fight to protect their land. Many people die and want vengeance. They hunger for freedom.
Therefore we want to bring the love and peace of God to them. We want them to find the salvation that comes from Jesus. They need the love and peace of God go into their heart. That will change their mind to forgive.
The Great Commission ( Matt. 28:18-20) is stirring into our hearts. I prayed to God and said to him, "Here am I - Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8). Then I went and started ministering in Myanmar for the last two years supporting by Westwood Community Church. I and my daughter, Caroline travel around the country distributing Christian literature including Bible, book and children's teaching lesson. My husband can not go with me but he is fully supporting this ministry.
Not only is this nation closed for Christians to spread the gospel, the people's heart are still closed for the gospel. I know this country very difficult to evangelism but God encouraged me with 1 Corinthians 15:58 . In the same time I care for children in Sunday school they don't have enough material and lessons to study.
And also pray for Lincoln that God bless him to go visit his home town. We need your prayer and supporting from you for the country of Myanmar. Thank you for your prayer and heart for God's ministry.
God bless you

Bio:
I grew up in a devoted Muslim family in Tehran, Iran. By my mind I was searching God, and couldn't find Him, I thought God was lost until I was 40 years of age that Jesus found me. Then I realized I was lost and He elected me and by His Grace and Mercy and His providence plan. I am found.
I believe in God's trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
I believe God created men and women for a purpose of to come to know Him by knowing Jesus and His word.
We are here to serve Him and His people with love.
My purpose is to make Him and His word known by serving people based on the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 22: 36-40.
Mission:
My mission started in Turkey as we were living as a refugee there. I worked full time in the ministry for 6 years. Then I emigrated to Canada not by my will but by God's plan. I moved to Canada, I found myself in wilderness and couldn't see my purpose to be fulfilled. I started praying and asking God to show me the way. One day I was talking to someone and praying with that person on the phone, Lord gave me a vision that was my country's map and from Tehran start arrows going out to the other cities.
After that vision God opened doors to me to do ministry from Canada to Iran by internet. I started with one family of 3 that I knew them from their baptism in Turkey. By God's Grace and His Faithfulness, Holy Spirit is at work to soften people's hearts and they are willing to give their life to Jesus.
